I came across an interesting article this afternoon. I always enjoy reading things like this, but it just makes me want to find out more....but there isn't anything more......thats just it
First Manta Ray Born in Captivity kiled by its father - check it out at http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2007/06/22/1958623.htm
I live in Hervey Bay, and I have heard off someone (one person) that there is a ‘Hungry Jacks’ going up. While that would be the best thing for Hervey Bay, I really don’t think it’s going to be...... If it was, wouldn’t they have advertised is already?
I’d take a bet that we aren’t getting it.....just like when people thought Bunning’s was going to be hungry jacks.
Today I walked outside with my friend, and to my amazement we spotted a BLIMP!
It was advertising about Holden cars = ) (I have one!)
I grabbed out my phone and started to take pictures, however, my camera on my phone is amazingly crappy, but here are some shots anyway;
Pritty bad, But if you want to see better shots, go to www.benmay.org = )
This afternoon, I went and donated blood.
For those who don't do it, it’s just a simple procedure where you come in, fill out some forms, they prick your finger, take you to a room where you get asked more questions...than you go and sit on a seat to donate blood. The needle does not hurt that much for all you sooks out there.
I have donated 5 times and this time was to be my 6th, but something went wrong.
They had to pull my needle out after trying to make my blood flow, (just wasn't fast enough). My veins were too small and they had pierced my vein right through!!!!!!! No I am going to get a massive bruise!!!!
I didn't even know they could do that!
Would be curious to know if anyone else, has anyone had any odd experiences to do with donating blood!?????
Hello All,
I am a first time user of Vox, but (was) a constant user of online diary etc etc. I'm not here to write a diary every day, just to write interesting things (well that I think interest me anyway).
Anyway, in early March I went to Sydney. It’s a great place, and for anyone who hasn't been there GO there! It was especially enjoyable because I had someone showing me around. So, I didn't have to worry about where I am going, or what I should do every day, but just relaxed and got shown a lot of things.
Did mainly all the touristic things like skywalk around centre point I think it’s called. That’s another thing I reckon people should make sure they do when there are in Sydney. We had the perfect time; it was late afternoon so you could still see anything, than later during the tour, it was getting dark so we also got to see all the pretty lights as well. So that’s a good time to go, that way you can see day and night and not miss out.
Our hotel wasn't in the middle of Sydney, which I didn't mind, because we got to ride over the Sydney Harbour Bridge everyday! Plus it wasn't far from the centre anyway.
Another thing to do, if go on the ferry ride around Sydney, just so you can see everything, and you get to go under the bridge and next to the Opera house. Which that is something I didn’t do, go to the Opera house.
But Not to worry I shall do it next time.
Also, went and saw a lot of other things, so if your planning a holiday, go to Sydney just to look around and do you the touristic things =)
This is me on the Ferry Ride around Sydney. As you can tell I wasn't reading for the photo! I was making sure I got the bridge in it!
