Nice to see vox is still going on!
About this time one year ago, in January 2006, when I was podcasting with the LTS Podcast and that was it. I met, through the LTS podcast people Like Chris, Mike, Mab631 and Paul. This was one of the most interesting things I’ve done in a long time I use to think. Talking to all these international people over the internet, and doing, what I use to think, was a very famous podcast listened to by all. How very soon did this show start to grow, With Chris being the owner / founder of Generation Y and its success through the amount of interviews it had attained and it’s featuring on the TV show, Call for help, with Leo Laporte. During one of the early episodes of LTS, Chris and Paul had a bit of a political debate about something, this inturn, gave Paul and Chris the idea to start a “Spin off” to the LTS podcast, which was the Political Inversion show.
The Political Inversion show was rather plain, as Paul to begin with was really boring, and Chris didn’t ever have too much to say on the subject regardless of what it was. It was about this time that Mike and I met, apart from the LTS podcast. I had heard Mike mention on a show, or somewhere before hand that he wanted to do a “Pop Culture” podcast. Not knowing what a Pop culture podcast was, I said, I want to do one as well! Which, in some respects I did, I wanted to do a comedy show! So that is where the Ploy Cast was born. Mike and I met on Skype calls and basically read off news that we sort of found funny. The show was terrible, we didn’t know each other, and nor did we want to. Our on air chemistry was as boring as two 80 year olds discussing the price of cattle.
Coming Soon: And So a Network was born! (Chapter 2)
Becuase Vox has a nice uploader, this is my video from riding around town in a Bike Taxi... Quite an experience
My last laptop, the Dell Latitude, only ever had a 40gig HDD, and that was fine. My new macbook has a 60. Great I'll be able to do video editing and everything.......... WRONG.. It's always annoyed me that I've never had much space on the machine. So tonight I get out the Maths books and have a look how much storage is used up by the MacOS.
I firstly looked in the "Library Folder" - this was 12.5 gig
I looked in the "System Folder" - this was 1.5gig
That's already 14 GIG!!!!!!
I look on my current Windows XP machine that I've had running for over a year, and the C:\Windows folder is only 4GIG. That has all my drivers and everything from a year!
That's pretty crappy to have 14gig lost automatically on system..
55gig available
- 14 gig for system
41 gig available
- 5 gig for programs
36 gig available
- 3 gig pics
33 gig available
- 3 music
30 gig avilable
What a waste... I need to go buy an external drive already..
What are your top 25 most played songs?

But, officially....
The 14th and 15th of October would have been one of the best weekends, weather wise, around in quite sometime. Although I was working most of both days, driving along the towns esplanade, I pulled over and climbed down to the beach, just to look at the view. It was high tide, in the shade, waves gently crashing, not a soul to be seen. It was truly a great scene.
The whole experience got me thinking, no wonder Hervey Bay is Australia's number one growing town! Hervey Bay experiences great weather like this all year round. To my advantage, I had my camera phone with me, so below are some shots taken. I did infact take a video, but forgot to save it, so only pictures for today.
So While I was taking these pictures, and taking in the scenic surroundings, I was thinking of other poor Australians who had to deal with their surroundings..
Poor Ole Victorians and their terrible weather and climate!
Sydney and it's smog! - "Sydney the smog capital!"
I have noticed recently that the VOX Question of the Days are getting worse..
Tobegin with, I really liked them, there were some really interesting ones. But at late, I haven't seen anything that interesting, not even interesting enough to click on the button and complete it!
Anyone Agree? or is it just me.
